NZ Charter (Partnership) Schools and the Official Information Act

The Ministry of Education assure us that not applying the Ombudsmen or Official Information Act to Partnership (charter) schools is consistent with the status of a Sponsor as a community or commercial organisation.

It may well be consistent, but these are places of education, responsible for receiving and spending a huge amount of money from the public purse, not to mention being responsible for our children.

Surely I am not the only one worrying about that?

Think hard about whether this is the future you want for our kids.

If the answer is no, please speak up.
